Simple Trick To Grow on Pinterest
The trick is to recreate top performing and top ranking pins. Yes, recreating others pin designs!
I have used this trick on my own account and let me tell you, it works like magic!

I recreated two similar looking pins by copying a top ranking pin on search. And this is the result. Not just one, both pins performed insanely well compared to my other pins. And to let you know, one pin was posted 17 days ago and the other one was posted 36 days ago from the day this screenshot was taken.
Now, you know how powerful recreating top performing pins can be. Let’s see how to find top performing pins, tips to recreate such pins and how to increase the chances of your pin to go viral.
How to Find Top-Performing Pins?
There are a few ways to find top performing pins.
To find top-performing pins, follow these steps. Follow your competitor accounts or accounts that create similar content to you. (Follow atleast 10-20 accounts) After doing this, their pins will start showing on your home feed. You’re shown either their newest pins or their top-performing pins.
Another way to find top-performing pins is through search. Search the topic you want to find a pin about. Then, the pins that will show up on top are the ones you can recreate. They are ranking on search because they have something that is making them stand out. That can be their design, that can be their SEO, etc, etc. So, they are good to be recreated.
Now, you know how to find a top-performing pin, let’s see how to identify a top-performing pin.
How to Identify a Top-Performing Pin?
Till now, you might have thought top-performing pins are the ones with hundreds of likes and comments. Yes, you’re true! But if a pin has atleast 2 or more likes, then that pin is worthy to be recreated. If it has only 1 like, then don’t recreate it. Because the creator themselves could have liked their pin. In that case, the pin may have very less reach or no reach at all.
Previously, you could identify a top-performing pin through number of comments as well. But nowadays, comment section of Pinterest pins are filled with scammy comments from scammers. So, we can’t use comments as a metric to find a good performing pin.
How to Recreate Pin?
After you’ve found a good pin to recreate, you can start recreating it. You can use any design tool to recreate it. I mostly use Canva on my PC and Pixellab on my smartphone. It’s totally upon you, which tool you want to use.
While recreating the pin, use similar fonts and same background color as the top-performing pin does. Remember, I said Similar not Same. If you can find the exact font used in the pin, then use it otherwise use a similar looking font.
Regarding text color, you can use any color you want. Make sure, its clearly visible. And regarding image to be used in the pin, its upon you as well. Make sure to use a high quality image that is clean & clear. That’s it! After following these steps, your pin is ready.
After your pin is ready to be published, check the top-performing pin’s metadata. It’s title, description, hastags if any, etc. and create a similar metadata for your pin. Try to use similar language and keywords used in that pin while creating yours. After this, all you need to do is, hit publish and you’re all set. Then, wait for your results to arrive.
How to Increase Your Pin’s Chances to Perform Well?
By spending a little more time and effort, you can increase your pin’s chances to perform extremely well. For that, you need to do your own keyword research. Through keyword research, you can find keywords with high search volume and keywords that are being searched a lot in recent time. After finding such keywords, you can use them in your pin to increase its chances to perform well or even go viral.
