6 Ways Students Can use AI to Improve Their Studies!
1. Brainstorming Ideas
I believe, we have all sat in front of a blank page thinking what to write or where to start? Whether you’re writing a story, an essay, or any other school project, brainstorming ideas can be tough and even frustrating. But ChatGPT can make it as easy as eating your favorite dessert. All you need to do is, ask.
For example, you can say, “Give me 10 unique ideas for a science project,” to ChatGPT and it will come up with some creative ideas for you. You can even ask follow-up questions like, “Can you explain idea number 2 in a simple way?” It’s like having a personal tutor who knows basically each and everything. This can save you a lot of time and help you get started with your homework much faster.

When you’re bored or out of ideas, writing feels like a huge task, because writing needs creativity and when you’re bored, you’re not creative enough. But that shouldn’t be a problem anymore. Why? Because ChatGPT is here to help! ChatGPT can write essays, letters, stories, or even speeches for you based on your needs. Just tell it what you want to write about and if you have any guidelines or requirements, explain it clearly to the chatbot, and it will do it’s magic.
You can say, “Write an essay about pollution in around 200 words. Make sure to include some recent data and facts about pollution as well”. After giving this prompt to ChatGPT, it will write a 250 words essay about pollution for you! Based on your needs, you can either add or remove information from that essay.
3. Problem Solving (Math, Reasoning & More)
Got a tricky math problem to solve? Or maybe a puzzle or a logical question? Well, whatever the problem is, ChatGPT can easily solve it for you! Just type in the question, and it will walk you through the entire process to find the answer.
Let’s say you have this math problem: “What is 45% of 120?” — ask it to ChatGPT, and the chatbot will solve it for you and even explain how it got the answer. This way ChatGPT can help you to solve difficult problems, while explaining it to you in a simple way.
You can also use tools like Photomath or Microsoft Math Solver. All you need to do is, take a picture of your problem and provide it to these tools, then they will come up with a solution for your problem.
4. Grammar and Facts Checking
If you’re not so good at grammar or spellings, then tools like Grammarly can come to your help. Grammarly can detect your text and find out all the writing and grammatical mistakes, spelling errors, and more. It can even detect plagiarism in your text.
To check grammatical mistakes, all you need to do is, take your text to Grammarly and paste it in their Grammar Checker tool. After that, the tool will detect all the mistakes in your writing and also helps you to correct it. The best part? It’s completely free!
Whenever you write an essay or article, all the information in it may not be 100% accurate. So, what you can do is, ask ChatGPT to find factual errors in your writing.
To check factual errors in your writing, you can ask ChatGPT to go through your text and find factual errors in it. After finding all the errors, you can tell ChatGPT to correct or replace them with corrects facts and information.

Just ask it, “Give me a short research summary on climate change,” and it will collect the most important points about climate change for you!
You can then ask more specific questions like, “How does climate change affect animals?” This is much faster than going through 10 different websites to find the same information.
Sometimes, you may need to double check the facts, especially numeric data like dates, numbers, etc. provided by ChatGPT, because they might either be outdated or collected from an untrustworthy site.

Lengthy chapters, long books, or PDFs with hundreds of pages, they can all feel overwhelming and takes a lot of time of go through. But with AI tools, you can easily summarize them into small and easy to go through pieces of text without missing any important details. You can copy and paste your text into ChatGPT and say, “Can you summarize this in simple words without missing any important details from it?”
There are also tools like SMMRY, Scholarcy, and Split and Merge PDF that let’s you break big files into small parts and summarize each of them one-by-one. This helps you to understand the important stuff quickly, without going through the entire book or pdf. This mainly helps you to save time.
